WOW was October a crazy, fast month, or is it just me? And now we are half-way through November; almost ready to eat turkey (or tofurkey, or turducken, or tamales, or whatever you enjoy on this most fantastic holiday).
And in all of the craziness and haziness, I must say, one or two times I may have forgotten about the constant elephant in the room: National Board Certification.
Then yesterday morning, I opened my eyes, heard my husband cooking eggs downstairs for our children, and thought, “if only I could become National Board certfitied, then I could buy them a little more to eat for breakfast”…
Then the near heart-attack began as I jumped up and realized THE DAY HAD FINALLY ARRIVED! I could find out if I was a National Board Certified Teacher or if I would be an “Advanced Candidate.”
I fumbled for my laptop, nauseated, telling myself over and over, “I’m just checking my scores to see what I need to redo.”
There it was, in all of it’s anxiety-inducing, gut-wrenching, countless-tears-cried glory.
I’m still in utter disbelief, but the honor is so great and the weightless I feel now is sublime; I could conquer the world.
I kinda feel like I already did 🙂
Next stop: Google Educator, then Google Certified Trainer!
To all of you celebrating this achievement, CONGRATULATIONS!
To all of you Advanced Candidates, you ARE marvelous and you CAN do this! Dust yourself off and set your mind to the task. We are all rooting for you!
To all of you haven’t yet set out on this amazing journey, the time is now! This is your year. And let me know if I can help in any way!
